Vowel Sort--Long & Short "E" (Color & Blackline)
This vowel sort is designed to allow students to hear the difference between the long “e” and short “e” sounds when they say the name of the picture. There are 8 short vowel cards and 8 long vowel cards, along with the label cards. On the heading cards, I have also included a set of label cards with a picture to help lower level students get the sounds. I have included both color and black line graphics.
Also included are word cards for each of the pictures. My students love to play memory, matching the words to the pictures. The word cards alone could be used for sorting or any other purpose you find!
Long E: bee, teeth, tree, leaf, cheese, monkey, key, wheel
Short E: leg, pen, net, ten, web, bell, lemon, bed
