If you're an ESL teacher not familiar with the Color Vowel Chart, it's time to start using it! The chart is a great visual way for students to discriminate the 15 different vowel sounds in American English.
These quick exercises are designed for students who have been introduced to the Color Vowel Chart and need a little more work on discriminating vowel sounds. There are two pages of words and students should work together or in pairs to decide the "color" of each word. An answer key is provided.
