The excitement that surrounds the Olympics not only crates nationalistic pride but a thrill to experience cultures from many other countries. The summer games provides different countries that the winter games. This year with the Olympics games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is historical in significance. It is the first Olympics held South America. Along with the study of various countries and their culture, it is also an opportunity to educate the students about the philosophy and history of the games, and the sports themselves.
