A wolf, weasel, and woodpecker in the woods! How's that for alliteration?! Use Woodlands Template (page 2) to trace shapes onto colored paper or just print the sheet for a single student! Use Mass Templates (pages 3-8) to print shapes onto colored paper. You can also print on white paper and have students color the parts. Use Colored Template (9) for an individual student. Use Colored Mass Templates (pages 10-15) to print with colored ink onto white paper.
Depending on student skill level, decide to cut shapes ahead of time or let students cut their own.
I like to do these projects during literacy centers as a teacher or volunteer run center. This way students can receive direct instruction and can each have any help they may need. Enjoy the letter Ww!
