Through my teaching of the upper elementary writing standards, I have found that it is difficult to find well written narrative prompts that help teachers prepare their students for the rigor of standardized testing. That is why I have created this resource! I hope that by using these quick writes, students will become more prepared for how to add factual details to a creative piece of writing within a specific timeframe.

I hope you find this resource to be valuable and easy to use! This set is complete with 5 narrative prompts as well as informational facts to help students add realistic details to their writing, kid friendly objectives, final draft paper, an editing checklist, and rubric. These writing activities would be perfect for classwork, independent writing practice, homework, assessments and/or test prep.
