Product Description
I am a school librarian who booktalks constantly. Every day, I have students ask me, "What was that book you talked about with the...?" I book talk so much that I have to ask them lots of questions in order to remember which book the student is referring to. Sometimes, I can't remember the exact book at all.

The "Want to Read" list is to help students remember the books that interest them most.

When they visit the library, students bring their "WANT TO READ" lists. As the librarian booktalks or as they browse the shelves, students write down books that sound interesting and might be good choices for themselves to read.

As they come in throughout the year, students bring in their lists and add to them. Possible grades might include a binder check or telling a partner about two books they want to read.

Please try to avoid having students turn in their lists. The whole point of this activity is that they have a regular list to refer to whenever they are looking for a library book.
