We all know that our students can be powerful agents for change - even if that only means protesting to increase lunch-time on the daily schedule. But here's an activity that can harness such gumption so that students begin to play a role on the broader global scale that beckons all of us. The guiding question is simple: "How and why is our world in need of a better day, and what can we do about it?" And even simpler is this NGO Project that introduces our students to the opportunities that lie ahead for them. Imagine their growth as caring human beings when they discover that the "choice they're making" can actually result in a better day! "WE ARE THE WORLD," after all.
