WE WILL 6th Grade Math Statements will help you implement the Fundamental 5 into your classroom.

Quality instruction begins with deliberately stating the learning objective at the beginning of the lesson in a concrete, student-friendly way in the form of a “we will” statement. This set of “WE WILL” statements is intended to help 6th Grade Texas Teachers keep their lessons aligned with the NEW TEKS.

The Fundamental Five Strategies for Quality Instruction:
1. Frame the Lesson “We Will…”
2. Work in the Power Zone (Close Proximity to Learning)
3. Frequent, Small-Group, Purposeful Talk About the Learning
4. Recognize and Reinforce (Acknowledge Effort and Progress)
5. Write Critically

This is a BUNDLE of 4 Sets of 6th Grade "WE WILL" statements and Word Wall Cards. Each set has TEKS grouped by STAAR Reporting Categories.

All the WE WILL statements are based on the NEW 2014 TEKS. Each "WE WILL" poster is meant to be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock or paper and placed in sheet protectors or laminated to be displayed in the classroom to inform students of current objectives being learned in class. I like to place mine in sheet protectors so they can easily be organized and stored in a binder. I then display them in the chalkboard by hanging them on magnetic hooks.
