This is a simple check worksheet to help students with finding the UNKNOWN in a division problem. Students then have to show their work with a labeled tape diagram. Below are the directions:

Directions: Read the word problem TWICE.
Underline the important parts.
Ask yourself “What is the UNKNOWN?”
Write it, and then solve the problem with a labeled tape diagram.
Don’t forget your labels!

This can be used with Eureka Math Module One. 3rd Grade, but really any grade needing to find the UNKNOWN.
