Make test preparations fun by combining it with the Olympics! This is a great resource to help your students prepare for the WIDA ACCESS for ELLs test! Even if your state doesn’t use this test, this can be a good assessment to see how your students are doing in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Here are some ideas on how to use these with your students:
Give them in small groups (replicating a testing situation) and then go over the answers together.
Use them as a whole group practice. Discuss the answers and how they were solved.
Work individually with students (especially helpful during the speaking test).
Use the writing test as a lesson instead in order to teach how to respond to similar type test questions.
