This is a game I created for my students to use during our word work centers. The rules of game play follow those of a modified, traditional UNO™, with a grammar twist!
The game includes 116 full-color cards to practice identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns.
On his or her turn, a player can put down a card that has the same part of speech as the top face-up card, OR a card that matches the color on the face-up card. The player should look for matching parts of speech first, before looking for a matching color or special card. When laying down a card, the student should say the word and its part of speech out loud.
