This is a bundle of the following sets: [Please click the links below to view the preview files for these resources.]

Count the Room – WINTER Math - Ten Frames and Numbers 1 - 10

Count the Room – WINTER Math - Ten Frames and Numbers 11 - 20

Included in this packet:

Count the Room winter children picture cards with ten frames depicting the numbers 1-20.

3 recording sheets for each set (1-10 and 11-20): 1. “Count the Room” 2.“Count the Room and Count On”-- add one more to the number 3.“Count the Room and Add 10”-- add ten more to the number.

Answer keys for easy correcting and/or for students to self-check their work.

Snowball number cards 1-20 and the <, >, and = signs. (Blank snowball cards are included as well.)

Count the Room is an interactive math activity in which children move around the room looking for the picture cards and then counting the dots in the corresponding ten frames. Students record the numbers on their recording sheet.

To differentiate, 2 additional recording sheets are included: after the children record their answers, they count on, or add “one more” to the number, OR they add “ten more” to the number.

This activity reinforces counting and cardinality skills, including subitizing skills, and numeral writing. The snowman theme is perfect for winter math center activities!

There are two picture/ten frame cards on each 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper; when printed, each card will measure 5.25” x 8”.

Simply print the color cards, mount them on construction paper and laminate for durability if desired, and this activity is ready to go!

Additional ideas for using the picture cards include:
★ Matching the ten frame picture cards to the snowball numeral cards.
★ Displaying the cards in the classroom to reinforce students’ number sense/numeracy understanding.
★ Using the ten frames as a teaching tool when teaching about each number.
★ Sequencing activity: students put the ten frame cards in the correct number sequence.
★ Using them as flashcards to practice subitizing skills.
★ Using the included snowball numeral cards for number recognition, counting, comparing, and sequencing. If two sets are printed, they may be used for activities such as memory games, in which children turn over the cards and then try to find the matching pairs.
