Product Description
These winter and winter holiday themed printables are a fun and easy way to provide young children with practice recognizing the dot patterns on dice, counting from 1 to 12, and with beginning addition within 12 -- perfect for preschool, kindergarten and first grade. Children roll one die (or two, depending on skill level), and color a corresponding object on the printable. Easy prep for you (just print and play), maximum engagement for your students! Perfect for small groups, centers, partner work, or homework!

This resource is available as part of a money-saving bundle HERE!

Materials:
There are two sets of 12 printables, one for use with one die, and one set for use with two dice. The clipart on each set is identical; only the numbers are different to accommodate rolling one die or two. This is purposeful: You can easily differentiate for the skill level of your students by choosing a mat from the appropriate set, while ALL of your students are using a printable with the same theme! (Please see the preview to see an example and for more information about this resource.)

Another Way to Play:
The printables in this product also make wonderful game boards! Print on regular paper or card stock, and place in page protectors for durability. Working with a partner, children take turns rolling the die (or dice). This time, instead of coloring the corresponding object, they cover it with a cube or counter of their own color. Play until all the objects are covered. The child with the most counters on the board is the winner. Children can also play this game at home using the printable(s) colored in class.

Themes in this set include:
Winter - 5 printables for each level (use any time during the winter)
Christmas - 5 printables for each level
Groundhog's Day - 1 printable for each level
Valentine's Day- 1 printable for each level
