Product Description
Add a new "twist" to your Wonder novel studies with my 3-way agamograph classroom collaboration poster. This project is a “3-way” agamograph (3 images spliced together) and a collaboration poster all mixed into one. It is approximately 26 inches x 28 inches when complete. This project is completely unique and there is no beating the “wow” factor at the end when children walk from side to side and see the images change. No two posters will be the same – there are several ways to adapt and personalize this poster for your classroom needs!

I have designed this poster with a lot of flexibility – making it perfect for ANY GRADE LEVEL. You can use it to support your work reading the novel, Wonder (older students) or We’re All Wonders (younger students). See this VIDEO to watch the poster go from on image to the next.

You can also use this poster all on its own to reinforce the overall theme that “We are all Wonders!” - a great universal classroom message!

This may look like a hard project but really it’s quite simple - I’ve done everything possible to make it that way. The kids do the coloring and you put it together - that’s it – I’ve done all the rest! I’ve broken it all down step-by-step AND I’ve made a video to show you exactly how to put it together.

Story Elements
The images I have used on this poster are chosen to help support your work on story elements; setting, theme and characters - but can also stand all on their own!

Setting: Lockers with precepts written on notes.
Theme: Space helmet with words “We are all wonders!”
Characters: Portrait frames that could resemble a page from a year book.

24 of the overall 28 pages of this poster have the character frame design on the left third of the paper with instructions that say, “Draw your portrait inside the rectangle below.”

Here are a few ways you can use the frames to personalize the poster for YOUR students:

• Have students draw 24 characters from the book in the frames.
• Have students draw their self-portraits on the frames. If you have more then 24 students have children pair up to add two portraits to a frame.
• Have students draw self-portraits as animals that represent themselves (as they did in the novel, Wonder).

What is an agamograph?
An agamograph is a series of images that change at different angles. This work is named after the Israeli sculptor, Yaacov Agam who was born in 1928 and still living today (2017). This artist is known for his optical and kinetic art. To create his agamographs he used “lenticular printing.”

Although the process of lenticular printing is technical and very complicated, I have created kid-friendly agamograph designs that will result in a piece of artwork that won’t soon be forgotten! The images have already been “spliced” together and each space has been assigned a color. Once the image is folded correctly, students can walk from one side of the image to the other side and watch the image change.

Jenny K’s 3-way Agamographs: I have created other “3-way” agamograph projects for teachers to use in the classroom. You an view my complete collection of unique, 3-way agamographs HERE.

Jenny K’s 2-way Agamographs: I also have created many “2-way”agamograph (2 images spliced together) projects for teachers to use in the classroom. In fact I was the first to introduce this idea to Teachers Pay Teachers. You may have used one of my other agamograph resources before (thank you!). If you have not and are interested in viewing those you can see all that I offer HERE.

Jenny K’s Collaboration Posters: I believe in collaboration - teachers and students love creating my collaboration posters because of the large impact they have on their classroom community and their school wide community. I love that this new resource combines my agamographs and my collaboration posters together. You can see all of my historical collaboration portraits HERE and my seasonal and holiday related collaboration posters/door posters HERE.
