McGraw Hill - Wonders FIRST grade SPELLING with a TWIST.
This work sheet is “ABC Order – Cut and Paste”
Directions: Students will cut out the spelling words and arrange them in alphabetical order. I had a student show me a quick way – she laid them on her abc chart on her name plate and instant abc order.
All my “Spelling with a TWIST” have the repeated words replaced with two new words! The original 8 words with two new, so there are still 10 spelling words each week. Please review my list and see the improvements. Why repeat words? I've created several different spelling worksheets for each week and even added words for the 6th week of each unit.
There are spelling words for 1.6 2.6 3.6 4.6 5.6 These can be found at the end of each of my packets so if you don’t want them – won’t use them – don’t print them.
My worksheets are being sold by the sheet not the unit. However IF you do not want to improve the list of words and switch out the repeated word then this is not for you. If you want to stick with the original list, my worksheets “Spelling with a TWIST” will not work. I do have many also available with the original words.
These align with the McGraw Hill reading series Wonders for first grade. I used them last year and my students loved them. There are enough for a variety each week. Can be used as seatwork or homework.
