Product Description
Take the pain out of the writing process. Are your pupils struggling to produce good creative writing? Are you disappointed with the results of their writing, even after all your effort and hard work? These writing frames are perfect for great results.

Put a pen in one child’s hand and they will write and write, producing great writing, put it another and you will be met with silence and a blank piece of paper.

I have been teaching creative writing with great results to the children that I tutor. It’s been hard work, but well worth it, especially when the class teacher reports back that the child is the best writer in the class!

Unfortunately some children just CANNOT write. They may have NO imagination, no idea where to start or they may not understand the structure of a story. This guide has been produced to help guide your children towards better story writing.

Attractive worksheets provide them with starting points to eliminate that overwhelmed feeling. As they move through the ideas they can jot down notes, add in their own ideas and make sure that they are using verbs, adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions correctly. They are supported and prompted throughout. Many characters and settings are provided for them, or they can choose their own. They have plenty of opportunities to go back over their work and improve it.

Once they have their story put together, they can write it up on the draft sheet, which can be amended and changed before they write up their final draft on the sheet provided.

More able children can start at Level 2 or 3, these worksheets have less support, but the structure remains the same. Your children can move through the worksheets as their skills build.

There are four versions of the Level 1 worksheet, filled with ideas and suggestions. Level 2 and 3 can just be given out as needed.

I hope that these worksheets will help YOU and your children to find the process of writing a story a little bit more enjoyable and easier!
