• The teacher will hand out the propaganda techniques guide.
• The teacher will look at two propaganda posters from WWI. First the teacher will model the analysis of the first poster titled, “Don’t Waste Paper, Paper is Essential.”
• Then the class will use the techniques guide together to analyze the second propaganda poster titled, “For Girls Must Work that Men May Fight.”
• The teacher hands out the WWI propaganda choice activity sheet, explaining to students that they can do one of two activities. Students can analyze two more WWI propaganda posters and make a connection to a modern-day example or they can create their own WWI propaganda poster.
