DAY 1: Introduction sheet for the alliances in WWI. Goes over the alliances in a way that is much less confusing for the students than the textbook can be and then concludes with seven thought provoking questions and a space for students to write. The sheet is filled with graphics that make sense of the text and keep students interested in what they are reading. Both days come with answer keys for the teacher.
DAY 2: A review of the reading from yesterday that asks students to fill in the blanks with words from a word box. Words include all of the alliances and the countries involved as well as Imperialism, M.A.I.N., Africa, and other terms relevant to WWI. Day 2 activity can also be homework for day 1 if you don't have time to do both in class. Both days come with an answer key.
