This document contains the requirements for a WWI PBL project and also a 9-point rubric for the autobiography.
Students will take on the role of a soldier about to enter the war. They will first write an autobiography. Then throughout the unit they will write letters to a friend or family at home. Then you will exchange the letters between members of class or among different sections of your classes. Once they get a letter, they will take on the role of that person's family member or friend and write responses to that soldiers. Then they will end with another essay explaining what life was like after the war.
