Through this web quest, students will look through a variety of primary sources, including letters, photos, and propaganda posters to answer text dependent questions. Students will be immersed in American life during the 1940's. Students will discover what it was like on the home front during the war and how Americans rallied together to support the war effort. This web quest helps to paint a picture as to why Americans changed from the viewpoint of isolationists and joined the war effort after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
This activity includes the website with information and links to the answers to the questions, 25 text dependent questions, and a final project in the form of a RAFT (Role, Audience, Format, Topic) assessment. The RAFT activity consists of 4 choices. One of the RAFT choices is provided in the preview of the file.
