32 cards that represents 8 battles: Dunkirk, Britain, Pearl Harbor, Normandy, Bulge, Midway, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. For each battle, there are 2 fact cards, 1 picture card and the name of the battle.
How to Play: There are 32 cards in this game. Divide your class into groups. Place spoons in the middle of each group. If you have 4 students in a group, you will place 3 spoons in the middle. Each player will take 4 cards. The remaining cards go in the center of the group. The goal is to get 4 of a kind. You can also divide the 32 cards into different games to avoid having a pile in the center.
Students will take turns selecting a card. The player will take a card from his/her hand and pass it face down to the person on the left. That person can keep it and pass a card they already have or pass the card given to them. Another option is to take a card from the pile. Remember, each student can only have 4 cards at a time.
When a student has 4 of a kind, he/she will take a spoon from the middle. Once a spoon has been taken, the remaining students will take a spoon even if they don’t have 4 of a kind. The player that does not get a spoon must challenge the player who took the spoon first. Then that student must prove if he/she has a match. If he/she has 4 of a kind, they get a point. If he/she did not have a match, the player who did not get a spoon gets the point. At this point you can have that student get four new cards or you can start the game over.
