This gripping NO PREP primary source reading passage will give your students an unforgettable understanding of the destruction inflicted by the bombing of Hiroshima. The reading passage briefly introduces President Truman's decision to use the newly developed atomic bomb and examines the devastating consequences the bomb can inflict. Then, students follow the account of Dr. Hachiya, a survivor of the explosion. After reading the passage, students will complete a worksheet that includes a mix of multiple choice and short answer questions.
