There are two worksheets in this file, both allow students to practice volume of rectangular prisms and cubes using the formula.
Both of these worksheets have a WWII theme. The first is a page of victory garden beds and asks the students to caculate the volume of the soil in each. The second is a page of boxes produced by women (symbolized by Rosie the Riveter) in factories. Each gives a few sentences of brief WWII history. This worksheet provides a great cross- curricular link and is more exciting than a worksheet full of boxes!
This file also contains an answer key.
This could be used as homework, an in-class assignment, or an assessment. Just print and use!
