This is a set of two worksheets to practice volume of rectangular prisms and cubes using the formula.
Both worksheets are WWII themed. The first asks students to caculate the volume of soil in Victory Garden boxes. The second asks students to calculate the volume of boxed supplies made by women in factories (symbolized by Rosie the Riveter). Both worksheets include a few sentences on the history of WWII and there is an answer key for both.
My students enjoy the cross-curricular connection between volume and WWII. These worksheets can be used for homework, an in-class center, or a quick assessment. Just print and use!
