This reader's theater was written for 3 students. It was written for students who are on a 1st grade reading level. There is a fly in Sally’s soup. The waiter does not understand why there is a fly in it. He is confused and wants Adam and Sally to pay for the soup but not the fly. I use all of my Reader's Theaters to help students improve their fluency. My students, especially the ones struggling to read, still require motivation to improve and that is where Reader's Theater comes in. I use small group reader's theaters because they are more effective than large groups. Students spend less time waiting for their parts and get more lines as well. There is less wait time for the students which equals more time practicing and on task and less time for off task issues. My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is wonbyone. I hope that you will enjoy this small group Reader's Theater. Please let me know what you think of this one. Most of my scripts are black and white to make it easier to photocopy. Thank you.
