This postcard activity is meant to be completed alongside Sharon Creech’s novel "Walk Two Moons." Students create postcards from Chanhassen to Sal. Completing this assignment gives students an opportunity to “walk in the moccasins” of the characters in the book, exercise their creativity, learn more about the book’s setting, practice their letter writing skills and write using figurative language. This download includes teacher instructions for completing the lesson plan as well as an editable outline worksheet for student use in preparing their postcards.
