Ahoy, mateys! Pirates are always a fun theme for the speech room! I often have a pirate-themed week for my students. Since many of my students have goals working on following directions, I figured that I had better come up with a game targeting their goals with the pirate theme. Here it is!... a collection of 5 fun, printable following direction games for any speech therapy or classroom. What I love the most is that these games incorporate easy following directions as well as more challenging direction following tasks (1-step directions, 2-step directions, 3-step directions, temporal directions, and conditional directions). In each of the 5 card decks, you are able to use them as flashcards, play a game to see who can get the most cards, or use the wild cards as another twist on the game which when drawn allows you to either take a card from another play or give one of your cards to another player. Another nice thing about this pack is that you are able to use 1, 2, 3 or all of the decks together to complete a comprehensive following directions game.
Each task has 24 cards with their direction type and also 8 blank cards (with theme) to allow you to add your own directions. A page of 8 wild cards are also included. Check out this fun pirate themed game to address all of your direction following needs!
