Students are expected to do their very best and follow the classroom rules. However, there are times throughout the year when this does not happen, and children need to understand that there are consequences for inappropriate behavior. That's why I created these walking tickets. Walking Tickets can be used as an alternative to taking away recess. Students who receive a walking ticket will walk in a designated area of the playground during recess time. They will not be allowed to play or talk with their friends. Hopefully this will allow them time to think about their actions and avoid demonstrating inappropriate behaviors in the future. Exercise is an important “brain break,” and this consequence will still allow students to get outside and move around.
This bundle includes the student walking tickets, as well as a parent letter that explains the behavior consequence. There is also a behavior document included that can be used to notify parents that their child received a walking ticket and why. There are English and Spanish versions of the parent letter and behavior document.
