Walt Whitman’s poetry is excellent, classic, and worthy of every literature class. However, reading some of his prose can give readers key insights into his work, his thoughts, and his philosophy. For this reason, I created this set, which includes two excerpts from the Preface to Leaves of Grass and questions to accompany each excerpt. This is a great way to begin or end any study of Whitman and his work.
