Follow Walter, a friendly water drop, through his water cycle adventures as he evaporates, condenses, precipitates and collects. This technology-integrated literacy and science unit begins with an original story about a water drop. It includes both printables and templates that integrate technology in 10 easy to follow activities.
The unit includes:
-Walter the Water Drop (PowerPoint) – An original animated story about a water drop named Walter who travels through the water cycle.
-Walter the Water Drop Student Booklet – A printable booklet that follows the story of Walter. It includes fill in blanks for water cycle vocabulary and a water cycle diagram to complete at the end.
-Label Water Cycle printable – A cut and paste water cycle diagram
-Weather Graph (Excel document) – Complete the weather graph whole class. As you complete the weather for the day, a pictograph is formed.
-Weather Graph Symbols – Cut out the symbols and use them on a class graph.
-Water Cycle Activity (Kidspiration template) – Drag and drop terms and steps into the water cycle graphic.
-Water Cycle Paper Chain (Excel template) – Students complete the template of the steps of the water cycle, then cut and tape together to make a paper chain.
-Water Cycle Writing Craftivity – Cut, write and create a water cycle craft
-Water Cycle Posters – 4 posters of the steps of the water cycle.
-Water Cycle Cloze (Word form) – A cloze paragraph for students to complete on the computer as a form. Answer key is provided.
