Want students to learn about Classical Music in a fun way? This Google Slides Lesson is the perfect activity to teach about the Waltz in a fun way. I used this during distance learning via Zoom, but you could use in class or in music centers. Students learn about The Blue Danube, how to dance the waltz, what instruments of the orchestra are included, Johann Strauss II, and more.
In the Google Slides activity, students will learn about the Waltz. there are 14 slides including slides to learn about what makes a waltz, listen to waltzes, learn how to dance the box step, listen to a modern waltz (from The Greatest Showman), The Blue Danube, Johann Strauss II, and more!
There are both slides to teach, slides with YouTube videos imbedded, and slides where students answer questions about what they have learned and about the pieces they listen to.
In order for them to move type answers, you will want to make sure to make a copy for each student. (Need help figuring our how to do that? Click here to watch a video about it!) They will need to be able to edit in order to answer the questions.
