Wants and Needs is demonstrated in these five stations. Using a book "Sam and the Lucky Money", article, collage, and real life data (Cost to raise a child data from US Dept. of Agriculture), students will learn basic economic vocabulary.
How can I use this product?
After introducing the key concepts with a basic economic discussion on wants/needs, resources, scarcity, spending, and opportunity costs, partners work through the stations together (in no particular order). Each station includes self-guided instructions. When everyone is done, with a final discussion, you can hand out the quick vocabulary match up assessment. There are homework, extension, and early finishers options included.
