This fact sheet is designed to be used with any war, in any time period.
Create a collection or file of these to compare and contrast wars throughout history.
Enlarge this file at a local printing company/education agency or via a SmartBoard, Elmo, or other projection devices to use as an anchor chart.
Use this chart as a pretest and/or posttest for a specific war.
Include this sheet in a student's interactive notebook or subject area portfolio.
One way to differentiate this chart is to allow students to choose how they will complete each of the boxes. Some students might choose to write in the boxes, some students might choose to cut out pictures to glue in the boxes, some students might choose to illustrate the boxes, and some students might choose to do a combination thereof.
Stations could be created in which each station features a different war with coordinating reference materials. Students/groups move from station to station completing a chart for each chosen war.
Each student could be assigned this chart and allowed to research the war of his/her choosing. Discussions and further research could ensue about similarities, differences, outcomes, blessings, and curses of war.
If more differentiation is needed, allow/assign students to complete only certain boxes based on need, preference, skill, strengths, and interests.
Assign different parts of the chart to different students and allow students to share information.
