Students love being active and thinking critically. This inquiry quest allows them to do both! The inquiry model allows students to show mastery and interact with information in a new way.
The inquiry quest includes 14 unique scenarios with a question that the student must answer. These scenarios put the students in the shoes of an American Citizen traveling around the country with Henry Clay. To correctly answer the question that accompanies each scenario on their quest, students must identify people such as Andrew Jackson, Tecumseh, and Sequoyah. They will be confronted by hostile Native Americans, changing borders, new laws, quarreling dock workers and much more!
This low-prep activity includes three different answer sheets. One sheet comes with hints for students who need more guidance. As the teacher, all you have to do is post the 14 scenarios around the classroom or hallway, give each student an answer sheet, and send them on their quest! Students love it!
