This is a unique way to teach students about the War of 1812! There are five prompts with texting conversations that students will complete between historical figures related to the War of 1812. There are also guiding questions for students to consider as they create the conversations.

This is a student-centered teaching strategy that can also be an assessment tool.

Historical figures from the situations include President James Madison, Dolly Madison, Henry Clay, Tecumseh, The Prophet, John Quincy Adams, and General Andrew Jackson.
