While this war lasted just short of three years, it would result in our nation's capital being burned to the ground, the creation of our national anthem, and the making of an American war hero and future president. Video weblinks our included to a special shortened version of the History Channel’s War of 1812. The result is a fast paced 58 minute video that can be played in the classroom. Two versions of the video guide are included. One for normal classroom viewing and another that includes the video weblink for absent students. This can be used in class or as homework as it’s a completely stand alone assignment. This is also perfect for substitute teacher plans, and of course, a key is included.
