Product Description
Students learn all about America's "War on Drugs" and the mass incarceration of people of color while reading this modified interview of Michelle Alexander, the author and activist leading the charge to educate and reform. Here students read 10 questions and Alexander's 10 responses. As they read, they answer the same interview questions on a different worksheet, but in their own words, in an attempt to synthesize the concepts and prove their comprehension. Afterwards, I have students meet in pairs to read their responses to the questions, to see how they compare.
