Students hear the word "responsible" all the time. I noticed that my students didn't realize all the chances in a day that they have to show they are responsible. I made these cards to reinforce the "R" in the responsive classroom acronym CARES and used examples from the previous year for students to discuss with a group and determine if the student was showing responsibility.
There are 4 categories I covered:
Possible uses for these cards:
*Use these cards as talking points one at a time
*Number them, post them around the room, and have students walk around reading them and determining if it was responsible or not on a recording sheet
*Use as a whole class sorting activity
*For the examples that the student did not show responsibility, have students brainstorm ways they could fix it
