Washington Crossing the Delaware is one of the most recognized images in American history. Your students will analyze Emanuel Leutze's rendition of Washington Crossing the Delaware on their own, and then you will walk them through the various portions of the scene in a PowerPoint to show what Leutze was trying to get the viewer to see in this incredible event using his own artistic freedom to portray the scene.
The PowerPoint is made up of 31 slides that are editable for you to add or delete what you chose.
Table of Contents:
2 pages on 8.5” x 11” paper:
-1 page: Washington Crossing the Delaware image
-1 page: Table with 10 blanks for students to write in
31 slides that include the explanation of portions of the artwork such as the possible woman in the image, the Scotsman, the Native American, the chunks of ice, etc.
