Lesson 2 of 3 in the collection.
This lesson has students investigate to find the different landforms that exist in Washington. Some prior student knowledge of landform vocabulary would be helpful, but it could also be worked in to the lesson.
Part B of the lesson explores landmarks in Washington. You may want to ask students to bring in pictures of their "travels" or vacations around the state. I have included some of my personal photos if you need to use them for the lesson. The students have the most fun with this lesson, especially if they start bringing in pictures. It can be an ongoing mapping activity too.
