Inspired by the Orton-Gillingham Approach and suitable for use with programs based on similar principles.
A great way to practice reading and dividing lion words. Add to your literacy centers, phonics lessons, and/or tutorial sessions.
Print on card stock, laminate, and cut! Scatter the lion cards throughout the deck and lay the deck face down. Flip the cards over one at a time. Each player takes turns reading the words. If a lion is flipped over, the first player to grab the lion by placing their hand on the deck and making a lion sound RAWR wins the lion card and the cards underneath. The player with the most cards at the end wins!
