Tackle standards for fractions, measuring, following directions, recycling, and the water cycle all at once by saving used empty water bottles for a hands-on classroom project. Great for science centers or lab work. Within the empty water bottles, students can create their own unique terrariums and see the water cycle in action. The lids stay on to create the atmosphere conditions for the process to occur. Once you have enough bottles for your class (1 per student), collect the rest of the materials listed below and set the date for your hands-on project learning event.
Zipped bundle of PDF documents includes one direction sheet to be used by the teacher, which contains a bottom half portion that can be copied for individual student instruction sheets, and two separate pages of water bottle labels, one for use with large water bottles and one for regular-sized water bottles.
