There is a lot of debate about the environmental impact of "Fracking." This is a technique used by Natural Gas producers when they blast the underground rocks (shale deposits) apart to release trapped gas. Vast amounts of water are pumped thousands of feet into the earth to break apart these shale deposits.
This beautiful, high quality graphic (suitable for a poster) shows how much water is forever lost deep into the earth in a typical fracking operation.
The slide is animated to first show only the drilling and fracking equipment, and then when you click the mouse the water is laid over top of the graphic as you can see in the preview.
