Looking for a fun way for students to show what they know about the water cycle and the four main processes that occur throughout? This comic strip activity is a great way for students to show their knowledge. It can be used as homework or an in-class activity.
The first page includes directions that tell students who to complete the 8-slide comic. It includes eight required vocabulary terms to use in their comic which include: evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, salt water, fresh water, the Sun, and water vapor. There is also a rubric you can use to grade the assignment.
The second page is a series of eight comic slides that include a photo and caption. It also has room for them to add their name and a title to the comic.
I use this activity every year after students have learned about the water cycle and each of the four main processes. The comic allows students to creatively show their teacher that they understand the parts of the water cycle. It could also be used as an assessment. Students really enjoy making comics and I'm always impressed to see the stories they tell! You can also post them around your room for others to enjoy.
