This experiment demonstrate the Water Cycle … all in a jar! All we did was add hot water (we pretended that this water was warmed up by the sun). We placed a plate on top to trap in the water vapor. We put ice cubes on top of the plate to represent the clouds. Then the class patiently waited for the water vapor to rise and condense on the bottom of the plate. Then we watched it precipitate! The rain dripped down the jar, back to the bottom.
I hope you enjoy this freebie! I also included a water cycle poem.
