This definitely is one of the more memorable activities within our hydrologic cycle unit! Students pretend they are a water molecule going through the hydrologic cycle. Their path is determined by the instructions they draw at various stations, which are posted around the room. Students record their path and analyze their results. As a culminating activity, students write a story about their journey. Two student activity papers are provided to allow for differentiated assessment for the writing assignment. Station labels and instructions are also included. Place the instructions in plastic baggies. Students should draw the instructions and place them back in the baggies.
