This water cycle activity is a great way to teach students about the water cycle in a hands on, engaging, movement based way. Students will become a water droplet traveling from location to location (set up around the classroom). Cards will tell them where to go to next on their journey, maybe a glacier, or the clouds.
Students will see where they traveled to the most and be able to reflect upon the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration)
I used this as an observation lesson with my middle school science classes. It is suitable for many grade levels and ages.
= A whole class period
= Are all provided
