One of my favorite ways to introduce my weather unit is by reviewing the water cycle. This set of 36 Water Cycle task cards will help you either to introduce or wrap up a lesson over Earth's water cycle. 28 cards are multiple choice questions dealing with a variety of topics such as condensation, evaporation, precipitation, run-off, infiltration, groundwater, and aquifers. Several concepts are reviewed multiple times in a variety of ways.
The final 8 cards are constructed response that invite students to answer by describing, summarizing, defining and drawing diagrams to questions related to the water cycle.
Several answer sheets are provided for both the multiple choice cards and the constructed response cards. An answer key to the Water Cycle task cards is also included.
Many of the questions in this task card set can be answered using most upper elementary science text books, through websites online such as water.usgs.gov; or by using this reading passage / mini book set - Water Cycle - Mini-book and reading passage
