A roll of the dice will let the water molecule know where it will travel next. This activity includes 10 stations and a lab sheet where students will record information, make vocabulary notes (or pictures), and summarize their journey. A student will take a bead at each station so they will end up with a bracelet or necklace marking their incredible journey. This activity expands a child’s idea of the water cycle and teaches essential vocabulary. The journey CAN be done without beads!!
This activity has been around for ages, and my kids LOVE it every year. This year I updated my pictures, changed the wording so it fit my fifth graders better, and added a better summarizing activity.
Materials: You will need to purchase beads (in a variety of colors) and string for necklaces/bracelets.
