This is the morning work I created for my class to complete throughout our water cycle and weather unit. In the beginning, they will utilize their resources to research the answers. As we progress through the unit, students could complete this on their own as a review. This could be used as a preteaching, homework, morning work, daily review, centers...the possibilities are endless!
~water cycle (identification and explanation of each step)
~water (three main states of water and how the molecules act and look during each)
~temperatures at which water boils and freezes (Fahrenheit and Celsius)
~weather tools (identifying each instrument and explaining the use for each)
*anemometer, barometer, thermometer, wind vane, rain gauge*
~weather forecast (identifying the symbols and knowing what each would mean for the near future)
*high pressure, low pressure, warm front, cold front, precipitation, temperature*
~climate vs weather (How are they alike? How are they different?)
~clouds (identifying and sketching each & telling what type of weather they bring and what they are made of)
*cumulus, stratus, cirrus, cumulonimbus*
Students will be asked to use the following skills:
~evaluating what would happen
I hope your class enjoys these as much as mine does! Please let me know if I can do anything for you or your students.
